Rock On With A Company Voluntary Arrangement

Today’s news is deeply saddening for me. I have just found out that a much respected motoring journalist has died. Kevin Ash was in South Africa for the launch of the latest BMW GS Motorcycle, unfortunately Kevin was involved in a crash that cost him his life.

I avidly read his column in the Telegraph and his own web-site as I always thought his writing to be truthful, honest and informative. Depressingly he leaves three children and a wife behind.

To add to my own personal sadness, I discovered that a hero of mine for around 40 years has developed terminal pancreatic cancer had has opted not to be treated. To say Wilko Johnson has entertained me and thousands more is a massive understatement.

Born on Canvey Island he became lead guitarist for seminal 1970s pub band Dr Feelgood and was famous for his choppy guitar sound, heavily influenced by Mick Green of The Pirates.

Mick passed on in 2010 and eventually when Wilko joins him, there will be some serious music being made in heaven. There is nothing we can do for Kevin; Wilko, it seems, wants to be with his wife Irene.

You may be mourning the impending death of your company, crippled by HMRC PAYE, VAT or Corporation Tax liabilities. Taxgone knows you have an option; rescue the business with a Company Voluntary Arrangement, put the life back into your company and rock on.
