Super Company Voluntary Arrangement

The Super Bowl game played at the Super Dome in New Orleans saw the underdogs Baltimore Ravens narrowly defeat the San Francisco 49ers 34 – 31 in one of the closest finals in recent years.

In typical American fashion Beyoncé gave a great performance at half time this time reuniting with her former band mates Destiny’s Child.

The game itself was tense but even more so when the floodlights went out for over 35 minutes, apparently it was down to a technical fault.

Advertisers had paid up to $4 million to place their wares during the end of the match; many of the people watching at home especially over here in Europe gave up and went to bed.

Considering that last year’s super bowl attracted 111.3 million viewers in the U.S alone I bet there were a few red faces on those TV executives.

After 35 minutes the lights came back on and play continued, up to this point Baltimore were comfortable but the San Francisco 49ers came roaring back, but Baltimore held on to win a historic victory.

Before the game a choir from the Sandy Brook Elementary School joined Jennifer Hudson is singing the American Anthem, the crowd rose to their feet many with tears in their eyes. The school said in a statement “We are Sandy Hook and we choose love”.

With the highs of The Baltimore Ravens victory, Destiny’s Child and the poignant reminder of the Sandy Hook tragedy this years Super Bowl was a roller coaster of emotions for anyone watching.
