Most people if asked would believe that Queen Victoria was a woman that always got her own way. That was not the case. When Queen Vic had three assassination attempts against her in one year she must have realised that the peasants were revolting.
Other attempts followed but not one attacker were given the death penalty – she was not amused.
Should this be how we should judge the popularity of our present Queen – if so, she must be very popular. That’s more than can be said of most governments that end up messing about with silly laws that upset businesses in the UK.
Winding up Petitions could be drastically reduced if simple logical changes could be introduced, such as lifting the minimum debt from £750 to £7,500 where it should be.
Company Voluntary Arrangements are here to stay and are being recognised as the first option in an insolvency crisis to balance the books.
