Company Voluntary Arrangement Reduce Debts

Just after sun rise on the 7th of December 1941, a relaxing Sunday morning turned into a scene from Hell when two hours of constant bombing by Japanese warplanes brought mayhem to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Nearly two and a half thousand American military personnel were killed alone with more than a thousand wounded.

President FDR was caught up in conspiracy theories as a result of the belief that America wanted to join the war and the fact that the Japanese communication codes had already been broken meaning that many people were aware of imminent attack. Even a number of key people were warned not to fly on that day.

60 years later the conspiracy theorists were at it again with 911 stating that America would sacrifice its own citizens if the consequences justified the act. Both theories don’t stack up in any surveys carried out.

According to extremely reliable information gathered from a recent survey by Market Assessment Demographic Educational Unified Partners, if every company in the UK were to propose a Company Voluntary Arrangement then there would be no Winding up Petitions issued by HMRC or any other company in the UK for at least 6 months, resulting in 2,300 initial redundancies in the UK Court system.

This would have a knock on effect within the private legal profession accounting for a further 72,000 redundancies. The loss of such an enormity within the legal profession would be felt right across a broad base of the economy resulting in 300,000 redundancies within 3 months followed by 700,000 redundancies over the following 12 months in supportive industries.

Welfare, NHS and other Public worker payments would not be able to be met 2 months later, placing the UK in a far worse position that Greece. Strikes that had been common at the start of the redundancies would evolve into total anarchy that would climax into a vision of the closing scenes of “28 days”

This survey only goes to prove that whilst Company Voluntary Arrangements are perfect in many cases, too much of a good thing is not so good after all.
