Company Voluntary Arrangement Play On

What is the purpose of a ball boy at a football match? Surely it is to retrieve the ball when it goes out of play as soon as possible in order to resume play ASAP.

For years now there have been ball boys at football matches, and to be honest unless you are a relative of the ball boy you really don’t pay that much attention to them during the game.

Recently I have noticed however, how slow they have been to retrieve the ball when it goes out of play. I thought that it may just be me thinking that these youngsters are just a bit lazy.

This all came to a head recently when Swansea City and Chelsea were playing in the 2nd leg of the league Cup Semi Final, Swansea were winning 2 – 0 and with ten minutes to go the ball went out of play behind the Chelsea goal.

The ball boy behind that goal instead of throwing the ball straight back, actually rolled over onto to the ball.  The Chelsea player Eden Hazard, tried to get the ball off him, because the boy was laying on the ball, Hazard kicked the ball from underneath him to retrieve it, the ball boy then rolled about as though he had been seriously injured.

The referee had no choice but to send the Chelsea player off the field of play. What an earth is this all coming to, the ball boy had previously tweeted that he was going to waste time if the opportunity came up, also it was confirmed afterwards he was a relative of someone on the Swansea board.

The Chelsea player will get a ban; I wonder what if anything the ball boy will receive?

Ever feel so unjustly treated? You let a few things slide for a little while and before you know it the wolf is at your door – albeit an HMRC Enforcement Officer. Keep the ball in play with a Company Voluntary Arrangement, they are there for the continuation of businesses and are vastly underrated.
