It appears (or not!) that scientists are working on invisibility cloaks! This is fantastic news and I definitely want one when they hit the shops.
The research is based around Metamaterials, I would love to explain this but sadly, I can’t. I Googled ‘Metamaterials’ and I could not even understand the Wikipedia entry!
Seemingly one way of ‘cloaking’ an object is to grab hold of the light coming from an object and ‘simply’ guide it around the hidden thing, then return it to its original path, simples!
I should have thought of that instead of faffing around trying to burn things in my school science class. I could have made a fortune selling the cloaks to company directors faced with visits from HMRC enforcement offices for unpaid VAT, Corporation Tax and PAYE, they could just slip it on, stand still and disappear from sight.
Taxgone understands that a Company Voluntary Arrangement – CVA could act as an invisibility cloak, directors simply slip it on and debt disappears!
Dear Santa, please can I have: An invisibility cloak, X-ray vision, a ray gun and a teleporter I have been a very good boy! You all know you want one!
