Look On The Bright Side With A Company Voluntary Arrangement

Some of us, when we think of Australia, will think of Kangaroos, Koalas, gorgeous bronzed ‘Shielas’ strolling along white beaches and surfing dudes strutting their stuff on the Ocean waves.
Others will think of Fosters, Castlemaine XXXX or Tooheys, however it seems that there is a growing trend in Australia for alcohol abstention, not giving it up for ever but taking a break from it, maybe for a few months or so.
I no longer live in Australia but I can remember driving to an ‘offy’, with my dad, to collect the week’s supply of Castlemaine XXXX, all he needed to do was hand over the cars keys and the guy at the shop placed the pre-cooled beer straight into the boot, awesome service and no need to get out of the car, bear in mind this was 40 years ago.
Personally I wouldn’t have a problem giving up Aussie beer for a while as I don’t drink the stuff, I feel the same way about Aussie beer as the Monty Python team did about American beer; ‘’it’s like making love in a canoe’’.
Ironically enough it also seems that American drinkers agree with Monty Python as the massive brewing concerns Anheuser-Busch and Michelob are being sued for selling watered down beer (allegedly).
Sadly, American draught beers readily on sale in the UK are, in my opinion, rubbish, which is a shame as the good old USA has some fantastic breweries turning out proper beers, IPA and the like.
Thankfully there has been a revival in artisan micro-breweries, these seem to be popping up all over the country and fantastic news this is, as a beer fan, I wish all and every one of them good luck.
You may think you need a bit of good luck, after all how else are you going to pay your overdue PAYE, VAT or Corporation Tax?
